Leaving your legacy

Leaving a bequest in your Will is a lasting way of helping future generations of Lowther Hall students continue to receive an education of the highest standard. It is a powerful means by which to make a difference beyond your lifetime.

The Lowther Hall Society

The Lowther Hall Society honours and recognises those special members of our community who during their lifetime have chosen to leave a bequest in their Will in support of the School. Members of the Lowther Hall Society share a very special bond, not only with each other but with the School, and maintain an ongoing connection with us through regular personalised invitations to events and activities. Their generosity is recognised on an honour board in the Mansion which holds the names of individuals who have informed us of their intention to remember Lowther Hall through a bequest.

Mary Thurman Recital Space

To truly appreciate and understand the impact that a bequest can have for the School look no further than the Mary Thurman Recital Space. The new Recital Space is named in honour of Miss Mary Thurman, B. Mus. Ed, B. Ed., M.A.C.E., Lowther Hall Old Grammarian, staff member and generous donor to the School. 

Her generosity of spirit and understanding of the School's motto non nobis solum (not for ourselves alone) were evident in her daily life and her personal interactions and are epitomised in her significant bequest to the School which has been used to construct this beautiful acoustically engineered space.
